Information we process
PocketMoney processes the information needed to provide the service, including your name, email address, encrypted password, optional gender setting, family membership, accounts, income, expenses, transfers, loans, recurring payments, categories, notes, selected currency and notification token.
If you enable period tracking, the dates you enter are stored separately and are available only to your own authenticated account. Other family members and family administrators cannot access them.
SMS transaction import
SMS import is optional and disabled by default. When enabled, supported transaction messages are examined on your Android device. Raw messages and draft imports are not uploaded to PocketMoney. Only a transaction that you review and explicitly save is sent to the PocketMoney server.
How information is used
- To authenticate your account and synchronize your financial records.
- To calculate balances, dashboards, trends, reminders and predictions you request.
- To deliver account, family approval, recurring-payment and service notifications.
- To prevent abuse, diagnose failures and protect PocketMoney and its users.
Family sharing
Approved members of the same family can view and manage that family’s shared accounts and financial records, including the name of the member who recorded an item. Your password, notification token and private period records are never shown to family members.
Service providers and disclosure
We may use infrastructure, email and Firebase notification providers solely to operate PocketMoney. We do not sell personal information and do not use your financial data for advertising. Information may be disclosed when required by law or when necessary to protect users and the service.
Retention and deletion
Your account information is kept while your account is active. You can delete your account from Profile → Account & privacy. Private data and authentication credentials are deleted. In a family, shared financial records remain available to the household but are detached from your identity. Device-only SMS drafts are removed from that device when deletion completes.
Security
PocketMoney uses encrypted HTTPS connections, hashed passwords, authenticated API access and household-level data isolation. No online service can guarantee absolute security, so use a unique password and keep your device protected.
Your choices
You can disable SMS access and vibration at any time, leave a family through its administrator, correct supported profile settings, request password recovery, or delete your account. For privacy questions, contact [email protected].
Changes to this policy
Material changes may be announced in PocketMoney through a notice or app update. The effective date above will be updated when the policy changes.
